In the first hours of Putin’s ‘ceasefire’, the Russian army continued to strike at Ukraine.
Despite the three-day truce announced by Vladimir Putin until Victory Day, the Russian army continued to attack the territory of Ukraine. On the night of May 8, shelling of a residential building in Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region was recorded. In addition, the Sumy region was attacked. The first announcement of an air alert in the first hours of the “truce” was sounded around 02:00. The Air Force warned about the threat of using “tactical aircraft of the enemy in the north-eastern direction”. At 02:45 and 03:30, Russian troops attacked the territory of Sumy region with guided aerial bombs (UAB).
Around 04:00, the Air Force reported the increased activity of Russian aviation in the eastern direction and the threat of using air weapons against the front-line regions. An air alert was announced in the Donetsk region.
Explosions rang out in the city of Kostyantynivka, the administrative center of Kostyantynivska urban community of Kramatorsk district. At approximately 05:00, local sources reported an airstrike on a nine-story residential building. According to preliminary information, so far it was possible to pull out one person from under the rubble.
