In the Mykolaiv region, CCC representatives stopped Angelina Jolie’s motorcade and tried to mobilize her bodyguard
The military personnel of the territorial recruitment and social support center stopped the motorcade of American actress and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie, who visited Kherson on November 5. They tried to mobilize her bodyguard. The incident was reported by the deputy from the “European Solidarity” Oleksiy Honcharenko.
Angelina Jolie crossed the Ukrainian border on foot and did not warn the authorities about her visit. The car with Jolie’s bodyguard was stopped at one of the checkpoints in the Mykolaiv region. According to preliminary information, the man allegedly had problems with his documents. He asked a representative of the National Guard of Ukraine to let him go, but he refused.
The guard explained that he was accompanying an “important person, a peacekeeper,” but he was detained and taken to the CCC in the city of Pivdenokruakrany in the Mykolaiv region. According to reports, the man was not released from the recruitment center for a long time, after which Angelina Jolie personally arrived at the CCC.
At the same time, the command of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provided its explanation:
“Everything is fine with Angelina Jolie, she really visited the CCC and the Joint Forces. She stopped by and asked to use the restroom. As for her bodyguard, he is a reserve officer. No one forcibly detained him. He was invited to visit the CCC and the Joint Stock Company. His identity was established, after which he calmly went about his business. No problematic issues arose. Everything was within the framework of the law”.
Recall that on November 5, it became known that actress Angelina Jolie had arrived in Ukraine on a special mission. According to preliminary data, she visited medical institutions in Kherson and talked with children who suffer daily from intensified shelling by the aggressor state of Russia. It is worth recalling that in the spring of 2022, the star had already come to Lviv for charitable purposes.
