In the new Forbes ranking, Akhmetov remains the richest Ukrainian
Forbes magazine updated its annual rating of the world’s richest people on March 10. Among Ukrainians, the richest person is once again Rinat Akhmetov, the owner of DTEK and Metinvest groups. As of March 2026, his fortune is estimated at $7.8 billion, while a year earlier it was $7.9 billion. He ranked 472nd on the global list, down from 390th in 2025.
The fortune of Victor Pinchuk, owner of the Interpipe investment and industrial group, also decreased over the year – from $3.2 billion to $2.8 billion. In the global ranking, he dropped from 1,141st to 1,504th place.
At the same time, co-founder of the fintech company Revolut Vlad Yatsenko significantly improved his position. His capital increased from $1.2 billion to $2.2 billion, thanks to which he rose from 2,623rd to 1,913th place.
Petro Poroshenko’s fortune decreased from $1.8 billion to $1.5 billion over the year, and he moved from 1,947th to 2,600th place in the ranking. The founder of the Kernel agricultural holding Andriy Verevsky also lost some of his capital: his fortune decreased from $1.4 billion to $1.2 billion, and his place in the world list from 2,356th to 3,017th.
The fortunes of Vadym Novinsky and Konstantin Zhevago remained almost unchanged – approximately $1.2 billion each. However, both have lost ground in the global ranking: from 2,623rd place in 2025, they have dropped to 3,017th place in 2026.
In total, the number of billionaires in the world has increased to a record 3,428. Elon Musk has once again become the richest person on the planet with a fortune of $839 billion. Next on the list are Google co-founders Larry Page with $257 billion and Sergey Brin with $237 billion, as well as Amazon’s Jeff Bezos with $224 billion and Mark Zuckerberg, associated with Meta and Facebook, with $222 billion.
