In Ukraine, almost 31,000 FOPs have ceased operations: the worst situation is in Kyiv, Kharkiv Oblast, and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

In the first 4 months of 2024, almost 31 thousand FOPs (individual entrepreneurs) ceased their activities.

30,904 FOPs ceased their activities in the first 4 months of 2024. Despite this, twice as many new FOPs are registered – over 74,000 in the first quarter of this year. The most frequently closed FOPs operating in the field of retail trade are 10,773 (34.9%). Computer programming and wholesale trade also made it to the top three — 10.1% and 6.2%, respectively.”, – the message says.

Most often, FOEs that work in the field of:

  • Retail trade: 10,773 (34.9%)
  • Computer programming: 3,149 (10.1%)
  • Wholesale trade: 1,920 (6.2%

The largest number of FOPs ceased their activities in:

  • Kyiv: over 3.8 thousand (12.4%)
  • Kharkiv region: almost 2.4 thousand (7.7%)
  • Dnipropetrovsk region: almost 2.4 thousand (7.7%)

Anti-rating also included:

  • Odesa region: 2,385 (7.7%)
  • Lviv region: 2,083 (6.8%)
