In Ukraine, the negative balance between exports and imports has increased
For the period January-November 2024, Ukraine imported goods worth $63.6 billion, while the volume of exports amounted to $38.3 billion. This led to the formation of a negative balance of foreign trade in the amount of $25.3 billion. Such information provided State Customs Service.
The total amount of taxed imports was $52.1 billion, which corresponds to 82% of the total volume of imported goods.
The basis of Ukrainian exports is food products, which provided $22.6 billion in revenue (59% of the total volume). They are followed by metals and their products worth $4.1 billion, as well as machines, equipment and vehicles — $3.2 billion. The largest buyers of Ukrainian products were Poland ($4.4 billion), Germany and Spain ($2.7 billion each).
Among imported goods, the first place is occupied by machines, equipment and vehicles — $22.2 billion. Products of the chemical industry and fuel and energy resources amount to $10.7 billion and $8.2 billion, respectively. Together, these three categories make up 65% of total imports.
The leaders among suppliers of goods to Ukraine were China ($13 billion), Poland ($6.3 billion) and Germany ($4.8 billion). As of November 2024, the volume of Ukrainian exports in monetary terms reached $36.3 billion, exceeding the same indicator for the entire year 2023.
