Russia attacked Kyiv at night: UAV debris damaged residential buildings, 26 people injured
On the night of October 26, Russian troops carried out an air attack on the capital of Ukraine. According to data of the Kyiv City Military Administration, 26 people were injured, including six children.
The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko reported that the consequences of the night attack by Russian “Shahed” drones were recorded in two districts of the capital – Desnyanskyi and Obolonskyi. Civilian infrastructure was damaged in both locations, including residential high-rise buildings.
In the Desnyansky district, a fire broke out in one of the apartment buildings as a result of falling debris. In another place, debris from an enemy drone fell on the roof of a high-rise building, and the blast wave broke out windows in the buildings.
In the Obolonsky district, debris from the drone damaged the roof of a residential building.
Local residents reported that after the “Shaheed” hit, people remained trapped on the upper floors of one of the buildings. Rescuers were later able to evacuate them and provide the necessary assistance.
Currently, the extent of the damage and the number of victims are being clarified. Emergency response services continue to work at the scene of the crash.
