It became known what kind of assistance Ukraine will receive as a result of the 27th Ramstein
The 27th meeting of Ukraine and partners in the Rammstein format took place in Brussels. According to its results, new military aid packages and the creation of another coalition were announced. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
At the beginning of the meeting, Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the partners, thanked all the participants and emphasized the critical need for additional Patriot systems. Since the previous meeting, the partners have announced more than $21 billion in security assistance to Ukraine. 51 countries of the world joined the association.
Germany will transfer 4 IRIS-T air defense systems and 300 interceptor missiles to them in 2025. Germany will also provide 30 Patriot missiles, 15 Leopard-1 tanks, 25 Marder combat vehicles and an additional 100,000 artillery ammunition. The total amount of additional aid until 2029 will reach 11 billion euros.
The UK will provide £450m of support, including hundreds of thousands of drones, radar systems and repairs to equipment previously provided. Norway has committed £100 million to finance the UK package, increasing its total aid by €5 billion in 2025. In addition, Norway announced 1 billion in aid, which includes the supply of ammunition and air defense/anti-missile systems.
Belgium announced the allocation of a military aid package worth 1 billion euros. Denmark announced the 25th aid package worth almost 900 million euros. Lithuania plans to provide 20 million euros for the purchase of ammunition. Estonia will soon hand over ten thousand artillery shells and dry rations for the Armed Forces to Ukraine. The Netherlands allocates 150 million euros to strengthen Ukrainian air defense.
Also, the key result of the meeting was the creation of the “Reb coalition” under the leadership of Germany.
“This is an important decision that meets the requirements of the times and strengthens our soldiers at the front. Together with our partners, we are building a strong defense of Ukraine, which brings our victory and a just peace closer,” – noted in the Ministry of Defense.
