“It is necessary to prove”: the Minister of Internal Affairs commented on the investigation into the fortunes of the relatives of the head of the National Police
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, reacted to the portal’s journalistic investigation concerning the fortunes of relatives of the head of the National Police, Ivan Vyhivskyi. By in words minister, anti-corruption authorities are currently verifying the information presented in the investigation.
“If there is an accusation against someone, it must be proven. We have the relevant bodies that were created for this purpose, in order to conduct an investigation under the direction of the top management. Let’s give them the opportunity to do it,” said the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
He added that he had no questions for Vyhivskyi as an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the head of the NPU. Klymenko believes that “everything is not so clear-cut” in this case, because Vyhivskyi’s wife declares “a fairly large amount from the business she ran”, so the minister urges to wait for the NABU’s conclusions.

He also lived in a private house in the suburbs of Mykolaiv, which was designed for his sister Oksana Alhovik.
