Journalist Yuriy Butusov mobilized into the National Guard of Ukraine

Journalist and editor-in-chief of Censor.NET publication Yuriy Butusov mobilized to the National Guard of Ukraine. That’s what he’s about reported on Radio Svoboda.
As the journalist noted, the mobilization took place in May. Commenting on a recent post on social media by the battalion commander of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade “Magura” Oleksandr Shirshin, Butusov noted that “the system does not work” in Ukraine, and that is why servicemen and journalists are forced to publicly discuss the army’s problems on Facebook.
“Our system does not work. And you and I, by the way, also talked about this many times when we discussed personnel appointments in the armed forces. I also believe that there was no problem with the personal management of combat operations in Zaluzhnye. I also do not think that the personal problem in the conduct of combat operations is Syrskyi. We do not have a system. And because of the lack of a system, our commanders, journalists, servicemen of all levels communicate on Facebook and discuss, because our war management bodies are ineffective.”Butusov explained.
He also noted that he does not see an opportunity to change the management system of military structures:
“I don’t know how to make people who make decisions smart, how to make them think not in terms of rating and PR. Unfortunately, all these reactions to the military, the lack of order in the administration is the result of the fact that the military-political leadership measures everything that happens, exclusively in the informational plane – in the number of likes, in the number of reposts, in the number of reactions in the rating. The war needs solutions in essence, that’s why I decided to join the army.”
