Kharkiv comes under fire again: more casualties reported

Last night, Kharkiv suffered another devastating attack, this time in the Osnovianskyi district, where four people were killed in an enemy strike. Rescuers spent several hours searching for victims under the rubble. This was reported by Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov.

According to him, the strike hit the private sector of the city, including a residential building that was completely destroyed. Another 19 houses in the area sustained serious damage of varying degrees.

At 02:51, the city was hit by a Grom-E1 hybrid missile. It hit a private house in Osnovyansky district. As a result, 4 houses were completely destroyed and 19 others were damaged. Four people were killed. Rescuers were looking for them under the rubble for several hours.

“In recent days, the enemy has focused on terrorist attacks on Kharkiv – they are hitting residential buildings, our historical monuments, and symbols of the city, such as Derzhprom. I ask everyone to be very careful and not to ignore the air raid alerts,’ the mayor said.

Terekhov also stressed that Kharkiv has recently been subject to more and more targeted attacks on residential areas and cultural heritage sites. In addition to residential buildings, symbolic buildings of the city, such as Derzhprom, are being targeted.

The mayor called on Kharkiv residents to be vigilant and not to ignore air raid warnings, as the Russian army has intensified attacks on the city, often using guided aerial bombs.

The Russian army has been regularly conducting air strikes in Kharkiv, including with the use of guided aerial bombs. Last night, UAVs struck the central part of the city in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Read more here.
