The Supreme Court of Justice has determined preventive measures for five people’s deputies in the case of paid voting

The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court, upon the application of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, has determined preventive measures for five people’s deputies of Ukraine from the “Servant of the People” faction, who are suspected of involvement in an organized scheme of paid voting in the Verkhovna Rada. This was reported by the SAPO on Telegram.

The court set multi-million bails for the suspects, taking into account the role of each in the scheme. Yuriy Kisel’s bail was set at 40 million hryvnias, Igor Negulevskyi – 30 million hryvnias, Yevhen Pyvovarov and Mykhailo Laba – 20 million hryvnias each, Olga Savchenko – 16.6 million hryvnias. They were also ordered to wear electronic means of control and hand over their passports for safekeeping to law enforcement agencies.

According to the NABU and SAPO, this is a hierarchical organized criminal group that has been operating in parliament since at least 2021. The investigation was conducted using a special “undercover” operation. The investigation established that the coordination of the “necessary” votes took place via a closed WhatsApp chat, where MPs received instructions on supporting or blocking bills. According to law enforcement officials, the reward for one vote ranged from 2 to 20 thousand US dollars, and payments were made on a regular basis in the office of one of the organizers.

The case materials indicate that at the end of 2025, one of the defendants received more than 145 thousand US dollars for further distribution among the participants in the scheme. All five people’s deputies are suspected of accepting illegal benefits in particularly large amounts. At the same time, most of them publicly deny their guilt and declare their intention to appeal the decision of the Supreme Court of Justice.
