Kharkiv region announces mandatory evacuation of Kupiansk and three neighbouring communities

The authorities of the Kharkiv region announced the forced evacuation of the civilian population from Kupyansk and nearby settlements due to the threatening deterioration of the security situation. This was announced by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Sinegubov, on the air of the telethon.
In particular, the evacuation will concern residents of such settlements as Kindrasivka, Kurylivka, Petropavlivka and other nearby villages. Sinegubov emphasized that due to the increased threat, it is impossible to ensure the normal conduct of the heating season, the provision of humanitarian aid and stable electricity supply.
About 7,000 people currently live in Kupyansk: 4,000 on the left bank of the Oskil River and 3,000 on the right. Places in Kharkiv have already been prepared for evacuated residents, and transport routes have been provided for safe departure both to Kharkiv and to other regions.
In addition, forced evacuation was also announced in the city of Borova, Izyum district, where 134 families with children currently live.
The security situation in the Kharkiv region remains extremely tense. According to the General Staff, Russian troops carried out 26 attacks in the Kupyan direction during the day, but the defense forces stopped all assault attempts in the areas of Sinkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Kruglyakivka and other settlements. In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy also launched two attacks in the area of Tykhi, but they were repulsed by the Ukrainian defense forces.
