“Russia once again resorted to terrorism against nuclear facilities. The drone attack on the shelter of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant is an attempt to intimidate Ukraine, Europe and the world. Currently, there is no radiation threat, work to eliminate the consequences of the attack continues.

The government is sending 1.5 billion hryvnias to support the safe condition of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant shelter. We are increasing funding by 139 million compared to 2024,” Shmyhal noted.

In addition, an important decision was made, which will allow attracting a loan of 400 million euros from the European Investment Bank. These funds, in particular, will go to energy-efficient reconstruction.
