Kim Jong-un justified Russia’s actions against Ukraine, citing the right of self-defense
The leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-un, expressed confidence that Russia has the right to self-defense against Ukraine. He stated this during a meeting with Russian Defense Minister Andriy Bilousov. informs Reuters.
Kim Jong-un accused the West and the United States of allegedly “forcing” Ukraine to use long-range weapons for strikes on Russian territory. In his opinion, Russia should “apply measures” to make its enemies “pay for it”.
He also assured that the DPRK plans to further strengthen cooperation with Russia in all directions, including the military. This interaction will develop within the framework of the strategic partnership, the agreement on which was signed in June and ratified in November.
“The government, army and people of the DPRK will always support the policy of the Russian Federation to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity from the imperialists’ attempts to achieve hegemony”, said the leader of the DPRK.
At the same time, in the conversation with the Russian Minister of Defense, Kim did not touch on the issue of the possible sending of North Korean troops to Russia or the supply of weapons.
