KMIS: 50% of Ukrainians believe that Zelenskyi fulfilled the minority of what he promised in five years

Some of the surveyed Ukrainians note that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has not fulfilled most of the promises made during his 5-year presidency. 50% of Ukrainians believe that it is because of “dishonest and corrupt people” in the team.
About this testify the results of a survey conducted in mid-May by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).
Ukrainians were asked whether the president fulfilled his pre-election promises during the five years of his presidency. The results showed that 18% of people believe that it is different or everything, of which 5% said that they do everything. Almost as many answered that Zelensky fulfilled about half of his promises.
50% of respondents said that the president fulfilled a minority of promises, of which 25% believed that he did not fulfill any of them. Half of the respondents justify their opinion by the fact that there are “dishonest and corrupt people” in the president’s team. Respondents also answered that failure to fulfill promises is due to lack of competent people in his team (32%), full-scale invasion (31%), own inexperience (27%) and influence of oligarchs (2).

Other options include Zelenskyi’s own corruption (14%), the influence of other countries (10%), the opposition’s unraveling of the situation (10%) and the unrealistic nature of his promises (9%).
The survey was carried out on the initiative of KMIS and continued on May 16-22, 2024. 1,002 Ukrainians over the age of 18 who, at the time of the interview, lived in Ukraine in the territories controlled by the Ukrainian authorities were interviewed by phone.
