Law enforcement officers detained the deputy commander of the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky. This is stated in the statement 58th Motorized Rifle Brigade on social networks.

“The brigade’s command fully supports and in every way facilitates the conduct of the pre-trial investigation. We are interested in a quick, comprehensive and objective establishment of all the circumstances of the case,” – the brigade stated.

At the same time, the statement emphasizes that in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine and criminal procedural legislation, the principle of presumption of innocence applies. Any final conclusions regarding the guilt of a person are possible only after the completion of a comprehensive investigation and the entry into force of the relevant court decision.

The brigade called on everyone to refrain from spreading unverified information, rumors and speculation that could harm an objective investigation, as well as negatively affect the reputation of servicemen and the combat capability of the unit…

The statement also states that the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade continues to reliably hold the designated defense lines in the Kharkiv direction and conscientiously performs the assigned combat (special) tasks.

According to information from UP sources, we are talking about Lieutenant Colonel Maksym Bobrovsky and the case of alleged extortion of a bribe for transfer from one military unit to another. Currently, law enforcement officers are not commenting on this detention.
