During January – August 2025, local budgets received UAH 29.7 billion in land payments. This is notified by the State Tax Service.
“Payers spent 14.5% or UAH 3.7 billion more on the development of their communities than in the corresponding period last year. At that time, the revenues amounted to almost 26 billion hryvnias”, the message states.
Dnipropetrovsk region provided the largest revenues — UAH 5.2 billion of tax. Kyiv received UAH 4.2 billion in land tax, Odesa region — UAH 2.6 billion, Lviv region — UAH 2 billion.
We remind you that the land fee is a mandatory payment as part of the property tax. It includes land tax or rent for plots of state and communal property.
According to the Tax Code of Ukraine, land owners and land users pay tax from the day of state registration of ownership or the right to use a land plot. If such rights are terminated, the land fee is calculated in proportion to the actual period of ownership or use of the land in the current year.
