The state will allocate 200,000 hryvnias each to young doctors who will work in rural areas or on the frontline territories
The state will pay a one-time payment of UAH 200,000 to each young doctor who completed his internship this year and will work in rural areas or in front-line areas. This initiative should support doctors who are starting their professional career in communities with limited access to medical care, reports the press service of the Ministry of Health’ya.
The procedure for granting the payment is determined by the order of the Ministry of Health, it will be valid until the end of martial law with the possibility of extension. To receive funds, a doctor must find a position in a state or communal medical institution in a rural area or in the territory of active hostilities, approved by order of the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories, on the Unified Web Portal for Vacancies of Medical Workers.
It is necessary to check whether the staffing of medical positions in the institution does not exceed 75% and whether the medical institution is ready to conclude at least a three-year employment contract. If both conditions are met, the doctor concludes a contract for at least three years, and the medical institution issues a letter confirming compliance with the requirements of the Decree. It is also possible to conclude a contract with the institution where the doctor already works after the internship, provided that the requirements are met. It is important that the vacancy is posted on the Unified Web Portal at the time of employment.
By October 10, the doctor must submit to the institution of higher education where the internship took place, an application addressed to the rector, a letter of confirmation from the medical institution on compliance with the requirements of the Decree, copies of education documents – a diploma and a certificate of professional qualification (if they are not in the Unified Electronic Database), documents confirming work activity – a copy of the work book or an extract from the Register of Insured Persons, as well as a copy of the concluded contract with medical facility You can submit documents in person or to the official e-mail of the educational institution.
The institution of higher education examines the documents and, in case of approval, issues an order on the appointment of the payment, which is carried out by the end of the budget year. Funds will have to be returned within 10 days in case of premature dismissal of the doctor at his own will, by agreement of the parties or for improper performance of duties. However, it is not necessary to return the payment if the institution stopped working as a doctor, in case of force majeure, establishment of disability of group I or II to the doctor or his relatives, as well as when the doctor is drafted into the army.
