Military personnel with a master’s degree and at least two years of leadership experience in civilian life can now be appointed to military positions, including the rank of colonel. About this reported Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization Kateryna Chernogorenko.
“We are ending the year with another revolutionary change – social elevators in the army. Military servicemen with a master’s degree and at least 2 years of managerial experience in civilian life can be appointed to various positions, including the rank of colonel. With the simultaneous assignment of an officer’s rank rank”, says the message.
Chernogorenko noted that this is an extremely important step. The fact is that many highly qualified specialists mobilized to the ranks of the army, having significant management experience and implemented projects behind them. Previously, without an officer’s education, they could only hold soldier positions. The modern army needs managers with such knowledge to become even more technological and efficient.
We remind you that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, signed decrees that provide for the simplification of the procedures for obtaining officer ranks by servicemen with combat experience.
