It is quite difficult to buy train tickets a few days before departure, especially in the summer – everything is quickly sold out. Military personnel and their families often cannot plan trips in advance. In order for the defenders to be able to use the services of Ukrzaliznytsia, even if the tickets are sold out, the company created a special reservation service for the military.
More than 30,000 Ukrainian defenders and their family members have already used the new service.
“At the height of the summer transportation season, it becomes more difficult to find tickets in case of an urgent travel need, so we remind you: servicemen of the Defense Forces, as well as members of the families of the wounded (when we transport the latter by medical trains), in case there are no tickets on free sale, can leave a request through the online service for the military at the link: https://services.uz.gov.ua/military“, – reported JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”.
Please note that you can book tickets for certain trains that go to cities located near the war zone. The application should be submitted at least 6 hours before the departure of the train from the original station.
Redemption of the reserved ticket is possible at the ticket office of the station no later than one hour before departure. For this, it is necessary to show the cashier a military ID or an officer’s ID card. In case of buying a ticket by relatives of wounded servicemen, the original or a copy of the ID card of the wounded relative and a document confirming the first-degree family relationship should be provided.
