Modi in China called on Putin to end the war with Ukraine
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in China called Vladimir Putin to “end the war in Ukraine as soon as possible.
In a meeting with the Russian president at the China summit, Modi emphasized that India “supports all recent peace efforts”.
“We constantly discuss with Ukraine the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. We support all recent peace efforts. We hope that all parties will move forward constructively. We call for an early end to the conflict, Modi said.
At the same time, the Indian Prime Minister emphasized that cooperation between Moscow and Delhi is important not only for the two states, but also for global peace, stability and prosperity.
Let us remind you that on the eve of his visit to China, Modi had a conversation with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
“India is ready to make the necessary efforts and send an appropriate signal to Russia and other leaders during meetings on the sidelines of the summit”, the President of Ukraine noted.
