More than 3 thousand Ukrainians are official millionaires, the youngest of them is 3.5 years old

In January-February 2024, 3,186 citizens in Ukraine declared incomes exceeding 1 million hryvnias. The total amount of such declared income reached 21.8 billion hryvnias. According to the results of the submitted declarations, 269.6 million hryvnias of personal income tax, as well as 44.6 million hryvnias of military duty, were determined to be paid to the budget. It is interesting that the youngest millionaire in Ukraine is only 3.5 years old. His authorized person declared the income received in the form of inheritance or donation of property from persons who are not family members of the first or second degree of kinship. The oldest Ukrainian millionaire is 96 years old. She is a resident of Kyiv who declared income from the sale of securities.
Among those who independently declared tax liabilities in the amount of more than 1 million hryvnias, there are 25 people. The largest number of such declarants live in the city of Kyiv – 6 people. In Kyiv region – 4, in Zakarpattia – 3. Two millionaires each declared income in Sumy and Lviv regions. There is one millionaire each in the Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Odesa and Kherson regions.
In general, in the first two months of 2024, citizens submitted more than 44,000 declarations, declaring income in the amount of 36.2 billion hryvnias. This is 62% more than in the same period of 2023, which is equal to an additional 13.9 billion hryvnias. Residents of Kyiv, Lviv and Dnipropetrovsk regions declared their incomes most actively.
According to the results of the submitted declarations, 436.9 million hryvnias of personal income tax were declared to be paid to the budget. This is 15% or 54.5 million hryvnias more than in the same period last year. The military levy amounted to 80.3 million hryvnias, which is also 15% more, or 10.4 million hryvnias, compared to last year.
In addition, more than 16,000 citizens have declared their right to a tax discount, which will allow them to receive 105.7 million hryvnias from the budget in the form of refunds. This indicates the growing awareness of citizens regarding their financial rights and opportunities.
