In the first half of 2025, 42,700 passenger electric vehicles (BEVs) were imported into Ukraine. This is 38% more than in the same period of 2024, reported Ukravtoprom.
The total customs value of imported cars amounted to 813.8 million dollars. Of this number, almost 9,600 were new electric cars — 19% more than last year. Their customs value reached 232.1 million dollars.
The largest segment was used cars: 33,100 such cars were imported in six months, which is 45% more than last year’s figures. Their customs value reached 581.7 million dollars. Among suppliers of new electric cars, China became the absolute leader, providing 91% of all deliveries. Much smaller volumes were demonstrated by Japan (4%) and Germany (3%).
The used electric car market has a different geography. The leader here remains the USA, which accounts for 39% of all deliveries. The second place is occupied by South Korea with 17%, and the third is Germany, which provided 15% of imports.
We remind you that in July 2025, the Ukrainian car fleet was replenished with more than 7,000 electric cars, which is 47% more than in July 2024.
