MP Oleksiy Honcharenko proposed changing the uniform for CCC employees
People’s deputy from “European Solidarity” Oleksiy Goncharenko appealed to the government and the Ministry of Defense regarding the introduction of a separate form of clothing for employees of territorial assembly centers, which would differ from the uniform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. With this initiative, he spoke publicly, by publishing his parliamentary appeal on Facebook.
In the appeal, the deputy stated that TCC employees should not wear pixelated camouflage uniforms, which are associated with the military. According to him, there is tension in society: people avoid contact with those wearing such uniforms, sometimes even conflicts arise.
“TCCs should not wear a pixel, I demand from the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Defense to develop a different uniform for them.
For the last year, military personnel have been actively contacting me and asking me to do something about the fact that, because of their uniforms, they are constantly being confused with TCC employees. The military began to be ashamed to wear a pixel. Slanted glances, people running in different directions just to pass you by, and in extreme cases even a fight.
The real military who protect our country on the front lines can no longer wear their own uniforms when they go out on vacation. This is unacceptable. And this needs to be resolved. One uniform they will be proud to wear. The other is for TCC. It’s a matter of respect, safety and justice.” Honcharenko noted.
The “European Solidarity” party reacted with restraint to this statement. The co-chair of the faction in the Verkhovna Rada, Iryna Gerashchenko, said that this is not a collective position, but an exclusively personal initiative of the deputy himself. According to her, the faction did not consider this issue and found out about Honcharenko’s appeal from a post on social networks.
Gerashchenko emphasized that mobilization, despite all the difficulties, is a key element of protecting the state in wartime, and TCC employees are also part of the Armed Forces, often servicemen who, due to injuries or other circumstances, have returned from the front and continue to serve in the rear. The faction has not developed any draft laws or proposals for changing the form for TCC representatives and does not support this idea.
We will remind you that this is not the first speech of Honcharenko with a controversial statement regarding the mobilization policy. It will be recalled that on April 15, he announced that he would vote against another extension of mobilization and martial law, which caused a sharp reaction from the head of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk.
