Violations worth UAH 24.3 million recorded at Transcarpathian customs

In the first quarter of 2024, Transcarpathian Customs registered 194 violations of customs rules for a total amount of 24.3 million hryvnias. Most often, violations occurred when entering Ukraine.

The most common violations:

  • Non-compliance with the terms of delivery of vehicles to the customs office of destination.
  • Non-declaration of goods.
  • Exceeding the term of temporary import/export of goods.
  • Movement of goods with concealment from customs control.
  • Unlawful exemption from payment of customs payments.

61 reports on criminal offenses were sent to law enforcement agencies. Most of them related to:

  • Detection of forged documents.
  • Illegal movement of drugs, weapons, tobacco products without excise stamps.

The subjects of offenses were most often:

  • Vehicles (12.6 million hryvnias).
  • Industrial goods (2.6 million hryvnias).
  • Currency (7.8 million hryvnias).
  • Food products (over 1 million hryvnias).
  • Narcotic and psychotropic substances (18 cases).
