NABU and SAP have exposed the prosecutor of the OGP for inciting the granting of an illegal benefit in the amount of $3.5 million
Detectives of the Department of Internal Control and the third main unit of NABU detectives together with prosecutors of the SAP exposed the prosecutor of the General Prosecutor’s Office and a group of lawyers in inciting the granting of an illegal benefit in the amount of 3.5 million US dollars. The money was allegedly intended for further transfer to SAP prosecutors and judges of the Higher Anti-Corruption Court in order to close the criminal proceedings being investigated by NABU detectives.
According to the investigation, from February 10 to September 18, 2025, the lawyers, acting in collusion with the prosecutor of the Prosecutor General’s Office, offered one of the suspects in the NABU case to “solve the issue” on closing the proceedings by bribing officials of the SAP and VAKS. They assumed the role of intermediaries in the transfer of funds. The sum of the bribe, which the suspect was incited to give, increased from 2 million to 3.5 million dollars during this time.
The attackers developed a detailed plan to transfer the money in parts. At the time of the disclosure, the prosecutor and lawyers had already received 200,000 US dollars from the suspect.
Currently, urgent investigative actions are underway to identify all participants in the scheme and document their activities. Previous legal qualification: Part 2 of Art. 15, Part 4 of Art. 27, Part 4 of Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
