NABU has submitted materials for Mindich’s extradition: they have been waiting for the Prosecutor General’s signature for two weeks

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has already prepared and translated the documents necessary for the extradition of businessman Timur Mindich from Israel. This was reported by NABU detective Oleksandr Abakumov.

“Two weeks ago, we sent all the materials for extradition to the Prosecutor General’s Office. And, as far as I know, they are still under the signature of the Prosecutor General. I received this update literally an hour ago from the detectives who are involved in this case.

Timeline – there are a number of procedures there. Israel is a very complicated country for extradition. They need to be given the materials of virtually the entire criminal case. We translated a large amount of evidence into their language to confirm that our suspicion is well-founded,” ‒ he said Abakumov.

The detective expressed his belief that Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko should sign this petition as soon as possible, but noted that the Prosecutor General’s Office may be undergoing its own procedures to assess the validity.

Abakumov also said that the speed of consideration of such materials is usually determined by their volume, as well as the “availability” of the Prosecutor General.

“I cannot say now whether two weeks is justified or not. I hope that in the near future the Prosecutor General will sign and we will enter into communication directly with the Israeli side,” ‒ the detective noted.
