NABU referred the case of the ex-director of the Kharkiv Aviation Plant to court due to losses of more than 2.3 million US dollars and half a million euros
From 2013 to 2015, he transferred 553.24 thousand euros and more than 1.93 million dollars. USA to a commercial enterprise for allegedly providing agency services.
Employees of the SAP and NABU referred the case to the court regarding the ex-director of the Kharkiv State Aviation Production Enterprise for causing losses to the plant in the amount of over UAH 36 million. About this told in the National Anti-corruption Bureau.
It is noted that two episodes of illegal activity of the former official were established as a result of the investigation.
According to episode 1, the official during 2013-2015 contributed to the transfer by the state company of 553.24 thousand euros and more than 1.93 million US dollars (in total, about 30 million UAH at the NBU exchange rate at the time of the crime) to a private company for allegedly providing agency services during the sale abroad of military goods produced at the facilities of the Kharkiv Aviation Plant. However, the detectives found out that the specified company did not provide any services to the state-owned enterprise.
In July 2021, the SAP and NABU, together with the Security Service of the Kharkiv region, informed the official about the suspicion. Qualification: Part 5 Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
According to episode 2, official in September 2014, the official conspired with his acquaintance to seize the funds of the state-owned enterprise. It is known that he signed a contract with a foreign company controlled by his assistant to supply the plant with two aviation systems. At the same time, he contributed to the transfer of 472 thousand dollars by the state enterprise. US (about UAH 6 million at the NBU exchange rate at the time of the crime) prepayment. Subsequently, the accomplices appropriated these funds, and in order to hide their criminal actions, signed an additional agreement to the contract, which makes it impossible to supply the systems in the previously agreed terms.
NABU and SAP together with USBU in the Kharkiv region informed the exhibitor about the suspicion of this episode on March 23, 2023. Qualification: Part 1 Art. 366, Part 5 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Taking into account the fact that there is currently no information about the person’s whereabouts, he was informed about the suspicion for both episodes in accordance with Art. 135, Art. 278 of the CCP of Ukraine. In addition, it is known that the suspect voluntarily assumed the position of “deputy head for infrastructure” of the occupation administration of the Zaporizhia region.
It is worth noting that the first part of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine provides for the innocence of a person in committing a crime and the impossibility of criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a guilty verdict.
