In eight months of 2024, the Naftogaz group transferred 56.5 billion hryvnias to the state budget of Ukraine, which is more than 7% of all tax payments controlled by the State Tax Service. About this reported the press service of the company.
In addition, another 4.3 billion hryvnias were directed to local budgets, which indicates the significant contribution of the company to economic support at the regional level.
Oleksiy Chernyshov, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, stressed that maintaining the country’s economic stability in wartime is a key aspect of national security. He emphasized that “Naftogaz” continues to be an important support for the Ukrainian economy in wartime.
“In August, the Group’s enterprises transferred UAH 7.2 billion to the state budget, and about UAH 600 million to local budgets”, – noted Chernyshov.
As a reminder, in the first four months of 2024, Naftogaz paid more than 30 billion hryvnias to the state budget, which was 15% of all tax revenues to the budget of Ukraine for the previous year.
With the beginning of autumn, preparations for the heating season intensified. According to Chernyshov, Ukraine plans to store at least 13.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas in underground storage facilities by November 1, when the heating season will potentially begin.
