Two people died as a result of the Russian Federation’s night attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region
Two people were killed in a nighttime air attack by Russian troops on Kyiv and the Kyiv region – one in the capital, another in the region.
The air raid alert in Kyiv sounded at 01:43 and lasted for more than four hours – until 05:45. As reported the head Obolonskyi RAD Kyrylo Fesyk, at about 03:30, fragments of an enemy drone hit the territory of the Obolonskyi district, where a private medical facility with an operating inpatient department was damaged. According to him, all emergency services immediately arrived at the scene.
Later, Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko specified that the medical facility where the patients were staying was damaged as a result of the strike:
“Of the 26 patients of a private clinic in the Obolonskyi district, which was hit as a result of the enemy attack, 16 were transported to municipal hospitals in the capital. Currently, according to doctors, three people were injured as a result of the attack. Two of them were hospitalized in serious condition.
The Kyiv State Emergency Service confirmed the death of a person and reported that the fire in the four-story building of a medical institution had been extinguished:
“In the Obolonsky district, there was a fire in a four-story building of a medical institution, on the second floor, with a working inpatient department. The fire was extinguished. During the inspection of the premises, a human body was discovered. 25 people were evacuated, three people were injured”.
In addition, the consequences of the enemy attack were also recorded in the Kyiv region. The Kyiv City Regional Military Administration reported the death of a civilian in the Fastiv district:
“Unfortunately, we have an irreparable loss. In the Fastiv district, a civilian died as a result of a hostile attack – a man born in 1951. His body was discovered while extinguishing a fire in his own house.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, seven private and one multi-storey residential buildings, garages, two cars, as well as production and warehouse facilities were damaged in the area. Slavutych was left without electricity due to the attack, but all critical infrastructure facilities have been switched to backup power, and the city is provided with heat and water.
