NATO auditors plan to be involved in procurement inspections of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine
The Supervisory Board of the Defense Procurement Agency (AOD) plans to engage the International Board of Auditors of NATO (IBAN) to conduct an independent audit of the agency’s work. About this reported c AOZ.
“The Supervisory Board of the Defense Procurement Agency initiates important steps to ensure the transparency of the agency’s activities and bring defense procurement processes in line with international standards.
Given the importance of public trust in defense procurement processes, the Supervisory Board is considering engaging the International Board of Auditors of NATO (IBAN) to conduct an independent audit. The results and recommendations of this audit will become the basis for the creation of a center of excellence in military procurement of Ukraine, which is another important step towards bringing Ukraine closer to NATO membership.” – says the message.
The supervisory board recommended to the Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov to extend the contract with the current director of the agency Maryna Bezrukova for one more year. This decision is based on a positive assessment of its work and the need to ensure stability and efficiency in the field of military procurement in wartime conditions.
