New employment rules in Poland will come into effect on July 1: what will change

Changes to the labor legislation, which will be introduced in Poland from July 1, concern the work of Ukrainians with PESEL UKR cards. From now on, employers must submit information about the employment of Ukrainian citizens faster. According to the country’s government, this will reduce abuse of refugees and save them from unscrupulous employers.
Starting next month, companies will be required to notify the labor department about the employment of a new employee within 7 days from the moment of employment (previously this period was 14 days). In addition, employers will have to inform about the amount of wages and the number of working hours.
This amendment was made because of unscrupulous employers. The authors of the amendment note that there have been several recorded cases when company managers accepted workers from Ukraine for two weeks, used their labor without informing the relevant institutions, and then dismissed them, often without pay. Shortening the notice period to the labor administration is intended to reduce the number of such abuses.
On the other hand, it is possible that employers will now be less willing to employ Ukrainians, because the changes create additional problems. Previously, many companies did not have time to notify the institution even within 14 days, and a period of 7 days can worsen the situation and lead to fines for employers.
In view of this, it is advisable to introduce mandatory informing of employees about the fact of the employer’s notification to the National Labor Inspectorate, since currently the employees do not know whether the employer has submitted the relevant notification on time/
We remind you that from July 1 you can get it in Poland the card is beaten by CUKR. Those who have already received a PESEL UKR card are entitled to the document. Holders of CUKR cards will be able to live in Poland for a longer time, but will lose the right to part of social benefits.
