North Korea will send thousands of its citizens to work at defense enterprises of the Russian Federation: GUR

North Korea is preparing to send thousands of its citizens to work at Russian defense enterprises and in the field of construction. The first thousand construction workers have already arrived in the Kursk region. This was deputy head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadim Skibitsky.

“Let’s look at North Korea. In general, there are currently plans to send thousands of representatives of various specialties from North Korea to work and study experience in the Russian Federation. Moreover, both to the defense and industrial complex, and to provide assistance in construction and other industries of the Russian Federation. It is about thousands of people. For example, when we talk about 6,000 North Korean specialists for work in the Kursk region, this is a large number. We know for sure that more than 1,000 have already arrived,” Skibitsky noted.

He specified that these workers are already involved in the restoration of roads and engineering equipment of defensive lines in the Kursk region. In addition, North Korean specialists are sent to gain experience at enterprises engaged in the production of ammunition and weapons, including tanks, armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles and drones.

According to Skibitskyi, Ukrainian intelligence also has information about the recruitment of citizens of other countries to work at Russian enterprises in the Yelabuga zone.

“We have data on the recruitment of citizens of other countries to work at enterprises of the Russian Federation. For the zone in Yelabuz. Russians are developing their production there. If they once started with a thousand employees, today they have plans to have 40,000 employees in the Yelabuga area, which produces UAVs. We record many foreign citizens who agree to sign contracts and go to Russia to work. However, later many of them sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense and go to fight,” stressed the deputy head of the State Administration of Internal Affairs.
