On the night of December 31, Odesa and the region were subjected to a massive attack by drones, as a result of which residential, logistical and energy infrastructure was damaged, there are victims, including children. Electricity, water and heating supplies were temporarily lost in parts of the city.
The head of the Odessa OVA, Oleg Kiper informed about another massive act of terror against the civilian population of the region and published the first data on the consequences of the strike. According to him, the attack was aimed at residential areas, logistics and energy facilities. In Odessa, damage to the facades and glazing of several multi-storey buildings was recorded due to falling debris and direct hits, and fires broke out in apartments in one of them. The fire also destroyed civilian cars.
“There is information about the casualties. The data is being clarified, Kiper wrote.
He noted that rescuers, emergency services and specialized teams are working at the sites of the hits, and residents of damaged buildings are being provided with the necessary assistance.
The head of the Odessa MVA Serhiy Lysak also confirmed that the night attack led to the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure facilities in the city. According to him, in two districts of Odessa, high-rise buildings were hit, and in one of the buildings, apartments caught fire.
“There are victims – among them are children. They are being provided with all assistance”, – Lysak reported.
