Orbán is worried that Europe will join the war in Ukraine
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán expressed concern about the current international situation, seeing it as Europe’s preparation for a direct military conflict with Russia.

“What is happening today in Brussels and Washington, perhaps now more in Brussels than in Washington, is a kind of preparation for a possible direct military conflict, we can safely call it: preparations have begun for Europe’s entry into the warOrbán said.
Orbán emphasizes the importance of strengthening the Hungarian army, believing that a strong armed force is the key to peace. He recognizes the need for immediate improvement of the Hungarian forces so that they are ready for future challenges.
Hungary is working on a new concept of its role in NATO, seeking to avoid participating in hostilities outside the Alliance’s territory. Orbán confirmed that Hungary has no intention of defending Ukraine from Russia if NATO decides to intervene in the war.
