Oschadbank opened the first accounts for “children’s” payments: assistance to parents and the “eYasla” program
Providing for children in the first years of life remains a critically important area of social policy, since it is early childhood that forms the basis for further physical, emotional and cognitive development. State support programs, in particular assistance until a child reaches the age of one and the “e-Nursery” initiative, are aimed at providing families with financial resources that allow them to combine childcare with work and stabilize their financial situation during the period of early education. Oschadbank has started working with special accounts for recipients of new “child” payments, which include financial support for families until a child reaches the age of one and the “e-Nursery” program.
Opening special accounts at Oschadbank
As reports the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity, Oschadbank has started working with special accounts for recipients of new “children’s” payments, which include financial support for families until the child reaches one year of age and the “eYasla” program.
Opening such accounts creates a convenient and safe channel for parents to receive funds, allowing them to quickly receive financial assistance without complicated certificates and bureaucratic procedures. Thanks to this step, state support for young children becomes more accessible, and parents can plan childcare costs with minimal administrative obstacles.
The funds have already been received in the accounts, and the opening procedure has been simplified as much as possible for parents. According to the Ministry of Social Policy, families who have applied for assistance since the beginning of 2026 receive a notification about the opening of an account and can contact a bank branch to receive a card, presenting only a passport and identification code, without additional certificates.
The first accounts were opened at the request of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, which coordinates the receipt of assistance for applicants. In the future, other banks will join the process, which will significantly simplify access to payments and make the procedure more convenient for citizens throughout the country.
Application procedure and required documents
You can apply for “child” payments through the Pension Fund, administrative service centers, authorized representatives of territorial communities, or through the “Diya” mobile application. To apply for financial assistance, you must provide:
-
child’s birth certificate;
-
application for assistance;
-
copy or extract from employer’s order/instruction on going to work full-time during maternity leave;
-
decision on establishing custody of the child, if applicable;
-
passport for identity verification.
Such simplified registration reduces the administrative burden on parents and allows you to quickly receive funds to cover the child’s needs.
The “e-Nursery” Program and Principles of Financial Support
The “e-Nursery” Program, which has been in operation since January 2026, provides assistance for parents who returned to work full-time during maternity leave. The amount of support is 8 thousand hryvnias, which allows to compensate for part of the costs of caring for a child and provide basic needs in the first months of life.
The representative of the Pension Fund clarified that payments can be received by both mothers and any legal representatives of the child who resumed full-time employment during maternity leave. The program also provides for restrictions on the targeted use of funds, similar to the principle of winter support, when money can be spent only on certain categories of goods, which guarantees the effective use of resources for the needs of children.
The significance of the program for early child development
Financial support for parents in the first years of children’s lives has a long-term effect: it allows to ensure the stability of the family budget, improves access to quality food and necessary goods, and also contributes to the creation of conditions for the early development and social integration of children. The “e-Nursery” program ensures a balance between parents’ work and childcare, which is especially important for families in cities and frontline regions where early education requires additional support.
The involvement of other banks in the payment process will reduce queues and speed up the transfer of funds, as well as expand the geography of access to assistance. State authorities plan to continue working on simplifying procedures to ensure prompt receipt of financial support for all categories of families with children who need early care and support in the first years of life.
