New rules for issuing foreign passports for orphans and children deprived of parental care: what do you need to know?

In Ukraine, the issuance of foreign passports for orphans and children deprived of parental care who are abroad has been simplified.
About this it is said on the website of the Ministry of Reintegration:
“From now on, legal representatives of orphans and children deprived of parental care temporarily displaced outside of Ukraine are exempted from payment for automated data processing when issuing a passport for travel abroad“, the message says
This innovation, developed by the Ministry of Social Policy, is provided for by amendments to Cabinet of Ministers resolutions No. 152 dated May 7, 2014 and No. 285 dated April 5, 2017, which were adopted by the Government on April 15, 2024.
When applying for a foreign passport to leave the country, the consular fee is not charged for status children, but this does not mean that the service was completely free of charge. After all, when considering an application for the issuance of such a passport, a fee for automated data processing was previously charged.
