Over 4,000 people were evacuated from Kharkiv Oblast over the past two days

Active hostilities in Kharkiv region continue. Over the past 24 hours, the Russian military has shelled about 30 settlements in the region. active evacuation of the population from the frontline areas is currently underway. Over 4,000 residents of the region were evacuated to safe places in two days.

“In the past day, 27 settlements of Kharkiv region were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks: Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Berestovka and others. Vilcha, Lyptsi, Lyman, Izbytske, Vesele, Petrivka, Kozacha Lopan, Synelnikove, Hlyboke were hit by air strikes. Shiroke, Vovchanski Khutory,” said the head of the Harviysk Regional Military Administration Oleg Sinegubov.

In just one day, the Ukrainian military repelled 19 Russian attacks in the Kupyansk direction and 12 attacks in the Slobozhansk direction.

In more than two days, it was possible to evacuate 4,073 civilians from Kharkiv Oblast. In particular, 1,377 local residents were evacuated from Chuguyiv district, 2,097 from Kharkiv district, and 29 from Bogoduhiv district. Another 570 people were taken out of the zone of active hostilities by volunteers.

“We provide all those who need temporary accommodation. 70% of evacuees have housing, most of them stay with relatives and friends. We also provide humanitarian, medical, psychological, and legal assistance. We have deployed almost 900 more places for evacuees. if necessary, we will increase this figure,” he said head of the Kharkiv OVA.

Oleg Synegubov assured that in case of an increase in the flow of evacuees in the middle of the region or outside the region, JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” will provide additional trains in certain directions. The head of the region calls on local residents not to delay evacuation.
