Over UAH 36 million in bail was paid for two deputies in the case of “paid” voting in the Verkhovna Rada

For MPs from the parliamentary faction of the Servant of the People party, Olga Savchenko and Yevhen Pyvovarov, who appear in the case of alleged bribery for voting in the Verkhovna Rada, bails totaling almost 36.7 million hryvnias were paid. The funds were paid by a lawyer and several individuals.

In particular, bail in the amount of 16.6 million hryvnias, set by the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court (SAC), was paid for MP Olga Savchenko by her lawyer Ihor Fomin. In his comments, he noted that part of the amount was his personal funds, and the other part, according to him, “had to be borrowed” due to the significant size of the bail in this case. Fomin also added that the prosecution and defense “will continue to work within the framework of the pre-trial investigation”.

In addition, seven individuals posted bail for MP Yevhen Pivovarov. The payments ranged from 150 thousand to 5 million hryvnias, and the total amount was almost 20 million hryvnias.

As previously reported by NABU and SAPO, on December 27, 2025, law enforcement officers announced the exposure of a corruption network in parliament, operating “undercover”. According to the investigation, the participants in the scheme received from 2,000 to 20,000 dollars for supporting or blocking specific bills. Already on December 29, suspicions of receiving bribes were announced to five people’s deputies.
