People’s deputy beat a man in the center of Kyiv: the police

In the center of Kyiv, a man turned to the police with a statement that he was hit by a people’s deputy. Law enforcement officers are investigating the circumstances of the event, in which, according to the victim, the parliamentarian was involved. About this reported Kyiv police.
According to the information of the Pechersk police department, they received a statement from a man who claims that he was the victim of an attack by a people’s deputy. The applicant is currently in police custody, his complaint has been registered, and the investigation is ongoing.
Although the police did not name the specific deputy, a video of Oleksandr Kunytskyi is being circulated on social networks, in which the victim tells law enforcement officers that Kunytskyi kicked him.
The man explained that he was riding a scooter when he noticed a familiar person and decided to chat, filming it on his phone camera. He noted that the deputy did not refuse the conversation and even offered to taste ice cream. However, due to the fact that there was only one spoon, the man rejected the offer. After that, he started to walk away, but suddenly he felt a kick in the back.
“Is that the person?” asked the patrolman, pointing to a man who looked like Oleksandr Kunytskyi, and received an affirmative answer from the victim.
The man agreed to write a statement and continued to try to find out from the deputy what was the cause of the blow, but he, impassively eating ice cream, did not respond to questions. “I didn’t touch you, did I?” the victim asked.
Another video from the scene shows the crosswalk where the incident happened. It is reported off-screen that the police initially refused to accept the statement, but thanks to the installed surveillance cameras, the victim intends to seek the opening of the case. It is also noted that the conflict took place the day before, September 11.
People’s deputy Oleksandr Kunytskyi has not commented on the incident so far.
