Political scandal in Poland due to a Ukrainian assistant to Donald Tusk: details
Before getting a job in the Polish government, Kristina Woronowska worked in a beauty salon.

Polish mass media and social networks are actively discussing the assistant of Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Kristina Woronowska, who is of Ukrainian origin. She is accused of not having the necessary qualifications for the job and possible connections with the Russian special services due to the fact that her father was allegedly an employee of Soviet military intelligence, informs Air Force.
The official website of the Polish Seimas states that before working in the parliament, Voronowska worked in the “Dream of Beauty” beauty salon in Warsaw, where she specialized in cosmetic procedures in the area of eyes and eyebrows. This fact of her biography caused the indignation of users of social networks, who consider her transition from cosmetology to politics unexpected. From May 2024, she became an assistant to Deputy Donald Tusk even before his election as Prime Minister.
What is known about Voronovska
Kristina Voronovska was born in 1989 in Poland, where her father served in the Soviet army. After the collapse of the USSR, her family moved to Ukraine. After graduating from the Faculty of Economics at an unnamed university, Voronovska worked for some time in Ukraine in the banking sector, and since 2018 she lives in Poland.
In her Instagram, she called herself Ukrainian, but her grandparents have Polish roots. In addition to working in a beauty salon, Kristina Voronovska worked in the office of the Civic Platform party.
What is Voronovska suspected of
Social networks drew attention to the fact that near the Polish village of Mendzyzeche, where Tusk’s assistant was born, Soviet communications troops were stationed. Journalist Marcin Dobski on the X network suggested that Voronovska might be the daughter of an officer of the GRU — Russian military intelligence. It was also written on social networks that she allegedly has relatives in Russia.
Commentators on the X network jokingly point out that Voronovska is actually an SBU agent in Tusk’s office.
What are they saying in the Polish government?
The head of the office of the Prime Minister of Poland, Jan Grabec, denied the information about Woronowska. He assured that she was checked by special services before being hired by the Seimas and that she does not have access to confidential information.
“Kristina has been working with us at the Civic Platform since 2022. She was hired as a secretary when we were looking for new people to expand the office before the election campaigns”, he said.
Yan Grabets said that he personally recommended Voronovska and added that she works as a deputy’s assistant under a contract. He confirmed that Christina Woronowska was born in Poland, as her father served there as a soldier in the Soviet army. After the declaration of Ukraine’s independence, her father joined the Ukrainian army. Now he is a military pensioner and works in security.
