Prosecutors of the General Prosecutor’s Office were exposed for receiving $170,000 in bribes for deciding to close criminal proceedings
The issue of reporting suspicion to other participants in the crime is already being resolved

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) have exposed the prosecutors of the General Prosecutor’s Office for receiving an illegal benefit in the amount of 170,000 US dollars for the decision to close the criminal proceedings. About this reported NABU press office.
One of the prosecutors was detained immediately after receiving an illegal benefit. He has already been notified of the suspicion under Part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for punishment for receiving bribes in particularly large amounts or by an official holding a responsible position.
Now the issue of reporting suspicion to other participants in the crime who may be involved in this corruption scheme is being resolved.
NABU and SAP continue to actively investigate this case, collecting evidence and interviewing possible witnesses. It should be noted that according to the first part of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
It is important to note that the investigation is still ongoing and any new details will be released as they become available. The Prosecutor General’s Office emphasized its readiness to cooperate with NABU and SAP to ensure transparency and legality in this case.
