Putin announced Russia’s readiness for the third round of negotiations with Ukraine
The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, announced his readiness to hold the third round of negotiations with Ukraine regarding the so-called “peace memorandum”. This is reported by the Russian mass media.
According to Putin, Ukraine and the Russian Federation are allegedly “in operational contact and are agreeing on the date of a new meeting.”
“The Russian and Ukrainian memoranda are diametrically opposed, but the negotiations are being held to find a way of rapprochement. We are ready for the third round of negotiations with Ukraine, we need to agree on the place and time. The draft memoranda of Russia and Ukraine on the settlement should be the subject of discussion during the third round of negotiations.” – noted the head of the Kremlin.
He also stated that the Russian Federation is allegedly ready to hand over another 3,000 bodies of dead Ukrainian soldiers to Ukraine. Putin believes that US President Donald Trump “sincerely seeks a settlement of the conflict around Ukraine.” In response to a question about a possible meeting, he said that he was “open to contacts”, but such negotiations should be carefully prepared in order to reach “new frontiers of cooperation”.
“The expenses of the Russian Federation are calculated for the successful completion of the SVO. The Russian Federation wants to complete the SVO with the desired result for itself”Putin added.
It will be recalled that on June 2, the second round of negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations was held in Istanbul with the mediation of the Turkish authorities. The negotiations lasted more than an hour. According to their results, the parties reached agreements on prisoner exchanges, which are currently ongoing, and also completed the repatriation of 6,000 bodies of fallen soldiers.
