Retired security forces are subject to mobilization: what will change from May 18

With the entry into force of the new law on mobilization on May 18, the draft process in Ukraine will intensify. The changes will affect all men between the ages of 18 and 60, including retired military personnel.

About this reported Defense Ministry spokesman Dmytro Lazutkin:

“Perhaps it would be normal if we had a weak enemy, but currently the enemy is such that the whole country, the whole society needs to be mobilized. From May 18, all men between the ages of 18 and 60 must clarify their data at the TCC and SP”.

The spokesman of the Ministry of Defense believes that the state should understand how many men of draft age are healthy, what military accounting specialties they have, and who has changed their place of residence. Information on the number of children and who is entitled to a reservation or postponement is also required.

During the mobilization in Ukraine, pensioners of the security forces must also be registered for military service. According to Dmytro Lazutkin, it was also a sensitive topic that was talked about a lot. He added that this somewhat meets the request for justice.
