Russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles: fires broke out in 2 districts, there are injuries
On the night of October 25, an air alert was declared in Kyiv and several regions due to the threat of a ballistic strike. Soon after, a series of powerful explosions were heard in the capital, after which fires broke out in the Darnytsia and Desnyanskyi districts. Currently, 8 people are known to have been injured, the press service of the KMVA reports.
According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia struck with ballistic weapons from the north-east, and air defense units were operating over the city.
“According to preliminary information, as a result of the attack, we are recording fires at several locations in the left-bank part of the city. Preliminary information indicates that as a result of the attack, windows were broken, cars were damaged, and a crater was left in the yard of a residential building. The services are working to eliminate the consequences in accordance with instructions. Currently, the localization of fires at several locations on the left bank is underway. The data is being clarified,” — noted the head of the KMVA, Timur Tkachenko.
As a result of the attack, a kindergarten in the Dniprovskyi district was damaged. At present, information about eight injured residents of Kyiv has been confirmed. Additional data and appeals from citizens who may have been injured are being checked. Large-scale fires broke out in non-residential buildings in Desnyanskyi and Darnytskyi districts.
