A Russian drone and artillery attack on Zaporizhia, Vilniansk, and settlements in the Zaporizhia district resulted in the deaths of two people, the injury of five civilians, and extensive destruction, reports the head of the Zaporizhia OVA Ivan Fedorov. As a result of the strikes on the regional center, Zaporizhia district, and Vilniansk, residential buildings, infrastructure, and vehicles were damaged, and power outages were recorded in some communities.
“The Russians attacked the regional center with drones, damaging private sector buildings. A 14-year-old boy was injured. He was provided with all necessary assistance,”, – reported the head of the Zaporizhzhia OVA Ivan Fedorov.
According to him, 12 thousand subscribers were left without electricity due to the Russian shelling of Zaporizhzhia, and the restoration of electricity supply will begin as soon as the security situation allows.
Russia also launched a drone strike on the city of Vilniansk in the Zaporizhzhia region, where a hit on a residential building led to the complete destruction of a private house and the death of a couple.
“The Russians launched a drone strike on Vilniansk. A private house was destroyed. The couple died – a 49-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman,”, – reported the head of the Zaporizhzhia OVA Ivan Fedorov.
According to the regional authorities, Russian troops carried out 24 air strikes, carried out 346 attacks with drones of various types, mainly FPV, and also covered five settlements with MLRS strikes and launched 142 artillery shells. As a result, 85 reports of damage to residential buildings, cars and infrastructure were received.
