Russia does not see the readiness of Ukraine and the West for peace talks: Lavrov

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Serhii Lavrov made a statement regarding the possibility of peace negotiations to end the war in Ukraine. This is reported by rosZMI.

According to Lavrov, Russia has not yet observed any real steps on the part of Kyiv and the West that would indicate readiness for peace negotiations.

If the US under Trump takes into account the interests of Russia, the dialogue between Moscow and Washington will gradually resume, if not, everything will remain as it is.”, – noted the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Earlier, the Deputy Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Oleksandr Hrushko voiced Moscow’s demand for NATO to cancel the decision of the Bucharest Summit in 2008, which provided for the possibility of Ukraine joining the Alliance. At the same time, Putin’s spokesman Peskov announced the readiness of the Russian president to contact Donald Trump.
