Russia launched a prolonged combined attack on critical Ukrainian targets: GUR
Russia has launched a long-term combined shelling of Ukrainian critical infrastructure facilities. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
According to intelligence, during the first wave of the attack, Russia is using a significant number of drones to overload Ukrainian air defenses and hit civilian targets. The next stage may be strikes using ballistic missiles, as well as sea- and air-based cruise missiles.
The main targets of the Russian Federation are the energy system, enterprises of the military-industrial complex, state authorities, and life support facilities in large cities. The GUR believes that Russia, by refusing proposals for a ceasefire, is trying to undermine Ukraine’s stability.
Intelligence called on citizens to respond to air raid sirens and take shelter. Earlier, Yuriy Ignat, head of the communications department of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported the movement of Russian tactical aviation, which may indicate preparations for a massive attack on Ukraine.
