Russia strikes children’s hospital in Kherson: 9 people injured, including 4 children

Russian troops carried out artillery shelling of a children’s hospital in Kherson, as a result of which nine people were injured, including four children. This was reported by the press service of the Kherson region prosecutor’s office.
Under the procedural leadership of the Kherson district prosecutor’s office, a pre-trial investigation into the fact of a war crime (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been launched. According to the investigation, on October 29, 2025, at about 09:20, Russian troops opened artillery fire on a children’s hospital, where young patients, their parents and medical staff were at that time.
According to preliminary information, nine people were injured as a result of the attack, including four children and three doctors. Data on the number of victims is being clarified. The hospital buildings were significantly damaged, and the blast wave also destroyed nearby buildings.
Prosecutors and investigators continue to document the consequences of the shelling and collect evidence of another war crime by Russia. Shelling of civilian objects, including medical facilities, is a gross violation of international humanitarian law.
