Russian troops have entered the village of Hraniv in the Kharkiv region and are trying to gain a foothold

In the Kharkiv region, small Russian infantry groups have entered the border village of Graniv and are trying to gain a foothold there. This was reported by Viktor Tregubov, head of the communications department of the Joint Forces Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to him, Russian troops are also trying to infiltrate and gain a foothold in the neighboring Kozacha Lopan, located approximately two kilometers from the border with Russia. Fighting is ongoing in this area, and the contact line is currently not stabilized.

“There are currently specific battles, so it’s too early to say anything, because there is no stabilization of the contact line,” Viktor Tregubov emphasized.

He noted that in this direction, Russian troops operate mainly with infantry and do not use armored vehicles. The reason is the high activity of FPV drones and attack drones, which complicate the movement of equipment.

“Invisibility has actually become the main factor in advancing forward”, Viktor Tregubov added.

According to preliminary data, the Ukrainian military has been recording the presence of Russian forces in the Kozacha Lopan area for about a week. Despite the fighting, more than a hundred residents remain in the village.

The Joint Forces Group of the Armed Forces of the Ukrainian SSR does not rule out that Russian troops may attempt a breakthrough on this section of the front. They also continue their attempts to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian military and enter Kupyansk again.
